ROGER TAYLOR. Ah well. Thank you so much. I mean, when we saw the other contenders for the 70s we were completely gob-smacked when we . . . I mean, every single contender. . . Led Zeppelin, come on! You know, I mean every single one was a totally worthy winner and we are completely honoured to have been voted what we were voted, and where the f*%@ were The Who? [laughing] But anyway, what an honour and we would really like to play for you tonight.
[Cheering]
BRIAN: Thank you. I wanna say a big thank you to The Darkness guys for inducting us. It means a lot to us, I have to say. I don't think, I don't quite tell you what we thought when we first heard about this. We kind of thought 'What the hell is this?' What means a lot to us is that you guys voted for us. It means the earth to us. Thank you - still. I ain't gonna burden you with too many words. We're gonna play.
[Cheering]
BRIAN: Please welcome with us - our hero and our friend, Mr Paul Rodgers.
